Bob is the owner of Orleans Coffee, and works with his staff on buying coffee from importers and roast profiles for coffees. He values working with customers to help them get the products and services they need to run their business. He occasionally travels to far-away lands to visit coffee farms and meet coffee growers and exporters. He is a two time board member of the Roasters Guild, a sub-group of the SCA, an organization devoted to the continuing education of roasters around the country and the world. He is married with 4 sons and loves the hometown team, the Saints as well as the LSU Tigers and his alma mater, the Nicholls State Colonels.
Will has been with Orleans Coffee for 3 years now as a service technician and a barista trainer. Prior to that he spent a few years as a barista and manager of a local coffeehouse. Like Mark and Robbie, he’s trained in repairing LaMarzocco, Nuovo Simonelli, LaCimbali and Unic espresso machines. Will likes checking out all the hip, out-of-the-spotlight restaurants and cafes. He’s always on the lookout for good food.
Joey is our office manager. He is the hub making sure most of the phone and web orders get to the Production & Roasting Depts. He’s a bright and cheery fellow, born and raised in Harahan. He spends his free time playing guitar as well as other instruments and loves to travel.
Pacifico hails from Covington, LA, a small town on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain across from New Orleans. He left the small town environs of Covington to move to Austin, TX where he honed his skills as a top notch barista. He moved back to New Orleans in 2016 and began working for Orleans Coffee. He is heavily involved in the management and development of our own retail locations. He also helps Kirk and Will in barista training for our new customers.
Peyton is from Metairie, and has been with us for 7 years. He runs the roasting department making sure that we get all coffee roasted on time and that all coffee is “roasted to order.” He joins Jenny and Bob at the cupping table frequently. He has a good palette and uses colorful terminology to describe coffee flavors other attributes. He’s a big Saints fan, too.
As green coffee buyer, Jenny works with importers on procuring our specialty coffee and roasting samples and cupping them with Bob and Peyton. As General Manager, she’s like the rug in The Big Lebowski–she ties everything together.
Mark is the longest tenured member of our staff. He’s been with us since “back in the day, pre-Katrina” when he was a long-haired hippie. He’s filled bags, blended coffee, and delivered orders. He’s been our production manager and even office manager for a while. He is now our Operations Manager and Lead Technician and services espresso machines, grinders and brewers that we sell. He enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his family. He’s not too bad at smoking a pork butt, either.
Kirk works with our wholesale customers to create and maintain exceptional coffee, tea and espresso programs. He’s a member of the Barista Guild of America. He is the only person in the company who was born and raised in New Orleans (proper), and his “Y’at” accent gives it away.
Robbie is the great bearded one. He’s rough and tough and wrestle with any espresso machine. He’s one of equipment technicians and will drive far and wide to get to our customers’ equipment to make sure it’s running at top speed. When he’s not in his technicians work shirt, he’s wearing camo in a duck blind, a deer stand or his boat fishing.
Heather heads up our Production department, overseeing a staff of 6 who package coffee and fills orders to prepare them for to get delivered or shipped on time. She is also our in-house graphic artist and helps us get all custom private labels printed. She hails from Kenner where she currently lives with her husband and 2 adorable kids.
Adam started with us in the production department and worked his way over to roasting coffee. He works hard alongside Peyton to keep up with all of the roasting that needs to be done daily, as well as keeping up with all the maintenance in keeping the roasters clean, tuned and in top operating condition. He’s a chipper guy and you can hear his laugh across the building.
