Bob is the owner of Orleans Coffee, and works with his staff on buying coffee from importers, roast profiles for coffees. He values working with customers to help them get the products and services they need to run their business. He occasionally travels to far-away lands to visit coffee farms and meet coffee growers and exporters. He is a two time past member of the Roasters Guild, a sub-group of the Specialty Coffee Association of America, an organization devoted to the continuing education of coffee roasters around the country and the world.
Will was born and raised in New Orleans. He has been in the coffee industry for years. He's been with Orleans Coffee since 2014 but prior to that, he managed a cafe in Kenner. Will works in the service department and is also part of the barista training team. When he's not servicing espresso machines or training baristas on latte art (and the importance of backflushing), he's living the good life attending New Orleans' numerous festivals and special events.
Joey is our office manager. He' takes most phone orders and downloads orders from the website and makes sure they get to the Production & Roasting Depts. He's a bright and cheery fellow, born and raised in Harahan. He's also the lead guitar player in his band.
Pacifico is the newest addition to our team. He originally hales from Covington on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain. He has traveled extensively and is adventurous when it comes to food, drink and especially coffee. Pacifico moved back home from Austin in late 2016. He is our lead barista trainer and, in addition to assisting in the sales department, he also manages our cafes. He is always an upbeat guy and his positive personality is infectious.
Peyton has been with us for 7 years. He runs the roasting department making sure that we get all coffee roasted on time and that all coffee is "roasted to order." He joins Jenny and Bob at the cupping table frequently. He has a good palette and uses colorful terminology to describe coffee flavors other attributes. He's a big Saints fan, too.
As green coffee buyer, Jenny works with importers on procuring our specialty coffee, roasting samples and cupping them with Bob and Peyton. She is grateful and appreciative to have the opportunity to travel to many origin countries. She considers it an honor to meet farmers, locals and exporters. She As general manager, she's like the rug in The Big Lebowski--she ties everything together.
Mark hails from the deep pine forest on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain. He grew up hunting and found his love for coffee during those early morning hours. He has been with Orleans Coffee for 18 years and has been our production manager, office manager, service manager and is now both service manager and operations manager.
Kirk has been a team member of Orleans Coffee since 2006. He's been in the specialty industry since 2003. Kirk has done a lot for us over the years. From working in production, service, delivery to now heading up the sales department, we just can't get rid of this guy! If he's not in your shop talking about coffee, he's probably hanging out with his wife and daughter. Kirk has lived in New Orleans all of his life and doesn't plan on leaving any time soon. Don't worry, he'll turn off the light when he leaves.
Robbie started working for us in 2013. He's a key member of our service team. He likes three things: properly functioning and serviced coffee equipment, duck hunting and his beard.
Heather heads up our Production department, seeing to it that all invoices get processed and all orders get filled and shipped on time. She is also our in-house graphic artist and helps us get all custom private labels printed. She hails from Kenner and she's proud of that. She loves printers and now has a really big one to keep her busy.
Adam started with us in the production department and worked his way over to roasting coffee. He and Peyton Jones are "thick as thieves." He works hard alongside Peyton to keep up with all of the roasting that needs to be done daily, as well as keeping up with all the maintenance in keeping the roasters clean, tuned and in top operating condition. He's a chipper guy and you can hear his laugh across the building all the time.
