The perfect way to brew coffee at home.
- Use fresh coffee and freshly drawn water.
- If possible, grind the coffee beans just prior to brewing. You want a medium grind. You want particles you can see, not powder.
- For a 12 cup brewer, we suggest 14 level tablespoons of ground coffee, or 15 if you are brewing a dark roast.
You are trying to extract just the right solubles from the grounds. The finer the grind, the quicker it will extract. Using too little coffee will over extract and cause bitter or harsh flavors. If this brew is too strong, try a coarser grind. This method works great for coffee and chicory as well. (ADVICE FOR AMOUNTS OF C&C?)
